Summer Staff -Cleaning, Detailing, and Buffing

  

Job Type: Seasonal (Late April - October)

Role Overview:

Kingston Marine Restoration is looking for two summer students to join our team for the 2025 boating season. Responsibilities will include cleaning, detailing, and buffing boats, helping prepare vessels for repair, and maintaining the overall appearance of the boats we work on. 

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and detail both power and sailboats, ensuring all surfaces are spotless and ready for repair.

Buff and polish boats to restore their appearance and shine.

Assist with the preparation of boats for fiberglass repair and restoration.

Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.

Help with the organization of tools and materials.

Provide support to the team as needed, including assisting with other tasks related to boat repair and maintenance.

Fiberglass Repair Technician

 As a Marine Fiberglass Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and restoring fiberglass components of boats and other watercraft. You will work on a variety of projects, from minor cosmetic repairs to significant structural restoration. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure the vessels we repair are in top condition for our clients to enjoy.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and assess damaged fiberglass on boats and watercraft.
  • Perform fiberglass repairs including patching, sanding, and molding.
  • Apply resin, gel coat, and other materials to repair damaged areas.
  • Ensure repairs meet safety standards and are aesthetically pleasing.
  • Work with a team to manage repair schedules and deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates on repairs and expected timelines.
  • Operate necessary tools and equipment safely.
  • Troubleshoot and identify issues with fiberglass and gel coat surfaces.
  • Keep accurate records of all repair work performed.Add a short description.
